Since 1994, Quintessence has been offering
a unique environment to re connect, unwind and enjoy the
pleasures of Byron Bay from our central location, in
a quiet, leafy courtyard garden, close to the beach in Byron
Bay,
Quintessence is renowned for offering
qualified practitioners whose passion for excellence has
gained a reputation for exceptional quality. After a face
lift and makeover in mid-2009, Quintessence has expanded to a
total of four treatment rooms to provide the very best in
professional and exceptional treatments, specialising in
Aromatherapy, Massage, Spa Therapy and Eco-Beauty.

Our treatments use the highest quality and effective
products that nature provides. It is important to us that
the products we use respect and support your natural rhythms
as well as those of our natural environment. It goes without
saying that we source and offer organic and biodynamic
products where ever possible. Even our waxing treatments are
based on natural oils, bees wax and tree resins.

Packages, Group
and Corporate Bookings
Group and corporate bookings are becoming
very popular at Quintessence. Our four treatment rooms, spacious
reception area and a courtyard garden can be transformed to
your requirements. Together we can design and create the
ultimate package or range of treatments to say thank you to
your staff, pre-wedding pampering session or weekend escape.

future and a reduction in our Carbon Footprint:
- We use and recommend Biodynamic and Organic products
- We use Carbon-neutral electricity
- We offset the Carbon from our vehicles
- We reuse our packaging materials
- We use both sides of our paper before recycling
- We refill our own ink cartridges
- We recycle wherever possible

laundry products
- We use Eco-friendly cleaning fibres to limit product

Etiquette
and Basics
Open daily, 9.30am to 5.30 pm 363 days a year. Please book
your treatment in advance to avoid
disappointment.
For the comfort of all clients and staff, we encourage a
relaxing and tranquil environment. We kindly ask that you
help us by ensuring all mobile phones are turned off before
entering our salon spaces.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to
relax, unwind, enjoy a complimentary drink and allow time
for a consultation. This will ensure you get the most from
your experience. Unfortunately, a late arrival
will shorten your treatment time.
If you need to cancel your appointment we kindly ask that
you give us 24 hours notice, in lieu of this, a 50%
cancellation fee will be charged. Missed appointments are
charged the full treatment fee.
Health
Fund Rebates
Health Fund Rebates are available for a number of our treatments.
This will however depend on the Therapist, your Fund and the
Treatment selected. If you wish to claim your
treatment against your health fund, we recommend you check
when booking to avoid disappoinment.
Double
Room
We have a double treatment room available allowing you to
share your quintessential experience with a special friend.
As this room has limited availability, please request when booking.
